Spectrum Coach Privacy Policy

Spectrum Coach is a conversation-practice and emotional-support tool. This policy explains how information is handled when you use the app.

Information stored on your device

Your optional name or nickname, practice history, emotion check-ins, decoder activity, streak information, onboarding status, and preferences are stored locally on your device. Spectrum Coach does not require an account. You can change or remove your name in Settings and delete locally stored practice and progress information using Delete My Data.

AI conversation and voice processing

When you send an AI conversation message, the scenario name and recent conversation text are transmitted to Spectrum Coach's server and to OpenAI so a reply can be generated. When Natural Online Voice is enabled, text selected for speaking is also sent to those services to generate audio. Do not enter highly sensitive personal information.

Text is used to provide the requested response or spoken audio. Spectrum Coach does not use it for advertising or sell it. OpenAI processing is also subject to its applicable business and API data practices. If an online service is unavailable, the app uses an offline response or device voice.

Information we do not collect

Spectrum Coach does not currently use advertising identifiers, third-party advertising, location tracking, contact lists, photos, microphone recordings, or cross-app tracking. It does not sell personal information.

Service and diagnostic information

Hosting and service providers may process limited technical information, such as IP address, request time, and security or error information, to operate, secure, and troubleshoot the AI service.

Data retention

Local information remains until you delete it or remove the app. AI service data may be retained temporarily when necessary to provide, secure, and troubleshoot the service, subject to provider terms and configured retention controls.

Children's privacy

Spectrum Coach is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Security

We use reasonable safeguards designed to protect information, but no electronic system can be guaranteed completely secure.

Your choices

You may use offline features without AI, delete local progress in Settings, and avoid entering personal or sensitive information.

Changes

We may update this policy as Spectrum Coach changes. The updated policy will show a new effective date.
